Eligibility Criteria

Academic RequirementsFreshman AdmissionHigh school graduates or individuals recognized to have equivalent or higher education under the law.An individual who meets at least one of the following criteria (1) to (3)
Transfer Admission (2nd year)
  • Individuals who have completed at least the first year or two semesters (excluding summer sessions) at a domestic 4-year university.
  • Graduates (or prospective graduates) of domestic (or foreign) 2(3)-year colleges.
  • Individuals who have completed at least the first year (2 semesters) of a regular education program at a 4-year foreign university or have acquired 1/4 or more of the graduation credits. (For universities following the British system, individuals who have completed at least 1 year (2 semesters) of study and have acquired 1/3 or more of the graduation credits.)
Transfer Admission (3rd year)
  • Individuals who have completed at least the second year or four semesters (excluding summer sessions) at a domestic 4-year university.
  • Graduates (or prospective graduates) of domestic (or foreign) 2(3)-year colleges.
  • Individuals who have completed at least the second year (4 semesters) of a regular education program at a 4-year foreign university or have acquired 1/2 or more of the graduation credits. (For universities following the British system, individuals who have completed at least 2 years (4 semesters) of study and have acquired 2/3 or more of the graduation credits.)
Language ProficiencyAn applicant who meets at least one of the following language proficiency criteria :

Official language proficiency scores are only accepted if they were obtained within the two years prior to the application deadline.

Applicants who completed their high school education in a country where English is the native language may be exempt from submitting language proficiency scores.

Countries where English is considered a native language include South Africa, New Zealand, the United States, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
